1. Acceptance of these terms
By visiting saplingit.uk, engaging us for consultancy or managed-IT services, or downloading and using the PriceTracker UK app, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with them, please don't use our website, services or app.
Where you're using our services on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Using saplingit.uk
You're welcome to browse saplingit.uk and get in touch with us through it. In return, please don't:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, our systems, or any connected network;
- use the site to transmit anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the site in a way that places unreasonable load on it or breaches these terms; or
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us.
Content on saplingit.uk — including text, graphics, logos and the Sapling IT name and branding — is provided for general information about our services. It doesn't constitute a binding offer or professional advice; specific engagements are governed by the separate proposal or contract we agree with you.
3. Consultancy & managed services
If you engage Sapling IT for consultancy, DevOps, managed IT support, hosting, cloud engineering, or any other professional service, the specific scope, deliverables, timescales and pricing for that engagement will be set out in a separate proposal, statement of work, or services agreement between us. Where there's any conflict between that agreement and these general terms, the specific agreement takes precedence for that engagement.
We aim to deliver the services we agree to with the skill and care you'd expect from an experienced IT consultancy. Where a service depends on third-party platforms, software or infrastructure outside our control (for example, a cloud provider's own uptime, or a software vendor's licensing terms), our responsibility is limited to the parts of the service we directly provide and control.
4. Using the PriceTracker UK app
4.1 What PriceTracker UK is for
PriceTracker UK is a grocery price-comparison app for UK shoppers. It gathers publicly available pricing information from major UK supermarkets and presents it so you can track products, compare prices, find nearby stores, and set alerts for price drops.
4.2 Your account
To use most features, you'll need to create an account with a valid email address and password. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.
4.3 Price & availability information
Prices change — sometimes faster than we can. We do our best to keep the prices, offers and stock information in PriceTracker UK accurate and up to date, but supermarkets change their prices frequently and our data is refreshed on a periodic schedule rather than continuously. Always check the price and availability on the retailer's own website, app or in-store before making a purchase decision based on the app. We're not responsible for losses arising from a price, offer or availability shown in the app differing from what a retailer actually charges or has in stock.
4.4 Notifications
If you enable price alerts, we'll do our best to notify you promptly when a tracked product meets your target — but notification delivery depends on your device, your notification settings, and third-party push services (see our Privacy Policy), so we can't guarantee that every alert will reach you, or that it will arrive instantly.
5. Pricing & purchases
PriceTracker UK is available from the Google Play Store for a one-off purchase price of £0.79 (79p GBP). This price is shown to you at the point of purchase and is processed entirely through Google Play's payment system — we don't see or store your payment card details.
- The purchase price entitles you to download and use the app in line with these terms and Google Play's own terms of service.
- Refunds for app purchases are handled in accordance with Google Play's refund policy, not directly by us — please raise refund requests through the Google Play Store in the first instance.
- We may, from time to time, change the purchase price for new downloads. This won't affect a purchase you've already made.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
6. Acceptable use
When using PriceTracker UK or saplingit.uk, please don't:
- use the app or site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable or impair them;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying code, data feeds or pricing infrastructure behind the app;
- use automated tools to access the app or its backend in a way that places unreasonable load on our systems;
- impersonate another person, or create an account using someone else's details without permission; or
- interfere with other users' enjoyment of the app.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules — see section 10.
7. Intellectual property
The PriceTracker UK app, the saplingit.uk website, and all associated branding, logos, design, code and content are owned by, or licensed to, Sapling IT Solutions Limited and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and site for their intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on them without our written permission.
Supermarket names, logos and product information referenced within the app remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the products and retailers being compared.
8. Disclaimers
We provide saplingit.uk and PriceTracker UK on an "as available" basis. While we work hard to keep them running smoothly and the information in them accurate, we don't promise that:
- the website or app will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times;
- the pricing, offer, or stock information shown will always be complete, current, or free from third-party error; or
- the app or website will be compatible with every device, browser, or operating-system version.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for anything which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sapling IT Solutions Limited will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of saplingit.uk or PriceTracker UK — including, for example, loss of savings you expected to make based on information shown in the app, or loss arising from a retailer's price differing from what the app displayed.
Where we are found liable for any direct loss connected with the PriceTracker UK app, our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid to purchase the app. This limitation does not apply to losses that cannot lawfully be limited, as described in section 8.
For consultancy and managed-services engagements, liability is governed by the specific agreement covering that engagement.
10. Suspension & termination
You can stop using PriceTracker UK and delete your account at any time directly from within the app. We may suspend or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, where required by law, or where we discontinue the app or a feature of it — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice where practical.
Closing your account doesn't entitle you to a refund of any purchase already made, except where required by law or Google Play's own refund policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect a new feature, a change in the law, or how our services work. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page, and where a change is significant, we'll make reasonable efforts to let you know directly (for example, via an in-app notice). Continuing to use the app or site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from them, or from your use of saplingit.uk or PriceTracker UK, will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales — without prejudice to any statutory rights you have as a consumer to bring proceedings in your own local courts.
